Bats in the Belfry

My head is going to burst!
The damn bats in my belfry have taken over.
The tiny sanitizers the doctors give
only quiet them enough for me to realize
how crazy I really am.

My spouse thinks it's funny
and my spawn think it's fuuny.
My mother thinks it's a luxury
and my father can't see over his own self-pity.

I talk to the cat
but that damn drag queen don't care.
My plats are dying from the lack of light
and it feels like I'm choking
on the dry dust of my soul.
